The TES10A is a handheld Gauss/Tesla tester for measuring DC magnetic fields in laboratory, production, and field settings. 1.  Select the range first — match the range to the expected field strength before taking a reading

2.  Surface measurement — place the Hall probe chip side against the magnetic surface for a reading closer to the measured value

3.  Polarity — the instrument displays field polarity, and probe orientation affects the polarity indication

4.  Unit conversion — 1 mT = 10 Gs
