The LX-90 Digital Lux Meter is a precise and easy-to-read instrument built for measuring ambient and artificial light in offices, factories, laboratories, hospitals and schools. Its separate photo-detector lets you take readings at an optimum position without blocking the source, while the wide 1–100,000 Lux range covers everything from dim corridors to bright production lines.
A 3½-digit LCD, automatic zero adjustment, low-battery indicator and rugged construction give reliable service for many years, and the simple three-range selector makes it equally suited to quick spot checks and detailed lighting surveys.

1. Power on — connect the 9V battery, then press the power button to "ON".
2. Select range — press the range select button to choose the appropriate range for the light level.
3. Position the sensor — remove the detector cap and face the photo-detector horizontally toward the light source.
4. Read the value — read the lux value on the LCD; press HOLD to freeze the reading if needed.
