SM6240C digital stroboscope for non-contact rotational speed measurement from 60 to 40000 RPM/FPM.
The SM6240C is a portable digital stroboscope that measures the speed of rotating and moving objects without any contact. A built-in flash light source pulses at the frequency shown on the display; when that frequency is synchronised with the object, the object appears frozen, which makes speed readings, motion monitoring and surface defect inspection possible with the naked eye. A 10MHz industrial-grade quartz crystal time base holds accuracy at 0.05%, and the 5-digit backlit LCD stays readable in dim work areas such as printing presses, textile lines and machine enclosures.
1. Non-contact measurement — reads rotational speed from 60 to 40000 RPM/FPM without touching or loading the object under test.
2. 0.05% accuracy — a 10MHz industrial-grade quartz crystal time base keeps readings stable and repeatable.
3. Coarse and fine tuning — step by 1/10/100 RPM in coarse mode or 0.01/0.1/1 RPM in fine mode, with continuous adjustment when the key is held down.
4. 10 stored speed values — 10 factory pre-stored values plus memory for up to 10 of your own frequently used readings, recalled at any time.
5. 5-digit backlit LCD — large digits with a low-battery indicator; the backlight switch sits inside the battery compartment.
6. Built-in flash light source — pulses at the displayed frequency so rotating parts appear stationary, revealing gear meshing, belt motion and surface defects.
7. Motion and defect inspection — verifies whether a machine runs at its expected rate and exposes flaws on the surface of high-speed rotating objects.
8. Rechargeable 14500 battery power — four 3.7V lithium-ion cells draw approx. 60mA and are replaced from the rear battery compartment.
