Electronic digital theodolite with selectable 2"/5"/10" angular accuracy, 30× telescope and a built-in coaxial red laser pointer for fast, reliable site measurement.
The DE2A-L Electronic Digital Theodolite pairs an absolute angle-encoder system with a single-axis liquid-electric tilt compensator to deliver selectable 2", 5" or 10" angular accuracy in a compact, lightweight body. A built-in coaxial red laser pointer (635 nm) simplifies quick aiming and alignment, while dual backlit LCD displays and a ten-button keypad let a single operator read and record horizontal and vertical angles directly at the instrument.
With a rechargeable Ni-MH battery providing up to 8 hours of uninterrupted work, a detachable tribrach, and an optional RS232 interface, the DE2A-L is built for layout, staking-out, and alignment tasks across general construction and land-survey workflows.
1. Selectable 2"/5"/10" Accuracy — absolute-encoder reading system with 1"/5"/10"/20" minimum reading adapts to different precision jobs.
2. Built-in Coaxial Red Laser Pointer — 635 nm / 10 mW laser with 150 m range for quick sighting and alignment reference.
3. Dual Backlit LCD Displays — front and back screens show readings simultaneously, improving efficiency for single-operator work.
4. 30× Erect-Image Telescope — 47 mm objective, 1°30' field of view and 3.75" resolving power for sharp long-distance sighting.
5. Single-Axis Tilt Compensation — liquid-electric vertical compensator with ±3' range and 6" resolving power keeps readings stable on uneven ground.
6. Long Battery Life — rechargeable Ni-MH battery delivers up to 8 hours of continuous operation with a visible low-power alert.
7. Detachable Tribrach & Optional RS232 — flexible mounting and data interface for varied field workflows.
1. Set Up — mount the theodolite on a tripod via the detachable tribrach, level it with the circular and tubular vials, and center over the station with the laser plummet (1.5 mm @ 1.5 m).
2. Sight the Target — aim the 30× telescope, use the built-in laser pointer for quick alignment, focus, and tighten the tangent clamps for fine adjustment.
3. Read & Record — read horizontal and vertical angles on the dual LCDs; switch units as needed.
4. Compensate — the single-axis tilt sensor automatically corrects within ±3' so readings stay accurate on slightly uneven ground.
