AUTOMOTIVE PAINT AND COATING THICKNESS GAUGE
The AMT151 coating thickness gauge is designed for automotive refinishing and paint inspection. It measures paint and corrosion-protection coatings on steel, iron, and nonferrous metals such as aluminum, zinc, and copper. Automatic substrate detection, one-hand operation, and a compact design help make routine measurements quick and straightforward.
Two selectable measurement modes — CarHandy and CarPro — let the operator match the instrument to the job, from quick spot checks to structured vehicle inspection records.
| Measurement Modes | Two selectable modes: CarHandy and CarPro |
| Vehicle Records | Stores up to 999 vehicle records |
| Substrate Detection | Automatically detects ferrous and nonferrous metal substrates |
| Calibration | Zero, one-point, and five-point calibration options |
| Alarms | Adjustable high and low measurement alarms |
| Body Filler / Zinc | Body filler and zinc detection functions |
| Display | Adjustable brightness, screen rotation, and multiple display views |
| Units | Metric and imperial units, with selectable micrometer or mil display |
| Data Transfer | USB and Bluetooth data transfer, with Android and iOS app support |
| Power | Low-battery indicator and automatic power-off |
CarHandy mode is made for quick, repeated spot checks on a car body, with the essentials shown on a single screen.
CarPro mode supports structured inspection with vehicle records, so readings can be saved and reviewed per vehicle.
Use the AMT151 paint thickness gauge to check coating thickness during automotive refinishing, paint application, and corrosion-protection inspection. It supports measurements on both ferrous and nonferrous metal substrates, making it useful for vehicle body checks and general coating inspection on metal parts.
